I am a teacher, freelance musician, and photographer. I hope to share my unique view of the world through my photographic art. All of my artwork starts with a photograph. Occasionally, I get to take photos in exotic locations from around the world, but most are taken locally...some have even been taken in my own back yard! There is always something beautiful to see, you just have to look for it. Many of my images highlight the natural beauty around us through traditional photographic methods, but beauty isn't just found in the natural world. Hi, did some research because this is not a Monarch butterfly. The closest thing I could find that was similar, but didn't have the large black spots on the lower open wing, is the Tortoiseshell. Great shot!
