The Praying Mantis can be the organic gardeners best friend! It is a feared predator in the garden. although commonly thought to be endangered, they are relatively common in the US. this one appeared to be playing Peekaboo with me when I took the photo. A fun image for the Entomologist in you life.

I am a teacher, freelance musician, and photographer. I hope to share my unique view of the world through my photographic art. All of my artwork starts with a photograph. Occasionally, I get to take photos in exotic locations from around the world, but most are taken locally...some have even been taken in my own back yard! There is always something beautiful to see, you just have to look for it.
